Literature Text
Woman, you are the fathomless sea.
I stand on the shore,
the edge of my ignorance,
the far horizon.
Birds cry to you,
They circle you seeking blood,
The life in your depths.
Am I like that bird?
Do I seek what I can take?
To master nature?
I am the near shore,
I stand surrounded by you,
An island within.
I think I stand firm,
But I am eroded slowly,
In the undertow.
It is to your heart,
I owe the life that stands here,
To which I return.
I stand on the shore,
the edge of my ignorance,
the far horizon.
Birds cry to you,
They circle you seeking blood,
The life in your depths.
Am I like that bird?
Do I seek what I can take?
To master nature?
I am the near shore,
I stand surrounded by you,
An island within.
I think I stand firm,
But I am eroded slowly,
In the undertow.
It is to your heart,
I owe the life that stands here,
To which I return.
A poem that comes from me on a number of different levels.
Take it for what you will.
Take it for what you will.

Interesting... I get mixed feelings too, seeing the description of a very deep love, its scarry to give so much to someone...
